Halekulani's confirmed outdoor ceremony spaces are the Garden Courtyard, the Hau Terrace, and the Kawehewehe Lawn — the last offering simultaneous Diamond Head and ocean views, a rare combination on this stretch of Waikiki Beach. Each carries a distinct character within the same intimate property: the Garden Courtyard is shaded and architecturally framed, the Hau Terrace open and breezy, and the Kawehewehe Lawn the most dramatically oriented toward sea and sky. The soft, diffused Pacific light photographs beautifully in the late morning and again during golden hour, roughly ninety minutes before sunset. The Halekulani Ballroom is the property's signature interior space: a dramatic, chandelier-lit room overlooking the Garden Courtyard, suited to formal black-tie weddings of up to 300 guests. For something smaller and more private, the Halekulani's oceanfront terrace pathways and garden corridors offer intimate vignettes that barely require direction — the setting does the work for us as Hawaii wedding photographers.
